11pm radar, may be rain/sleet near coast but should turn to snow if it gets heavy enough, snow inland.

its very selective and very localized snow. the coast has nothing to do with it, since it was snowing in southport, blackpool and liverpool with above freezing dp's. here the temp as dropped to 1.6C again and now the dp is at 0.5C which either means one or two things. 1 the precip is moving away as opposed to coming to, the temps have reacted this way all day and tonight or 2 there is going to be an almighty snowmeggedon about to happen, which when you look at the radar seems rather far fetched.

I'm dubious as to how far E that band in the Irish Sea gets. The whole system will start to pivot on its northern edge as the low moves away southwards.

Second band in the irish sea has built up and is moving south east

I don't think that band will hit as that's on the E flank of the polar low, however, to be fair, this band now could hover and deliver 1-2 hours of very heavy snow looking at the models, we need a bit of luck, only a few flakes here, I am right on the very very East just before Saddleworth moor so its marginal I terms of PPN for me, obviously with my location I have every chance of whatever falls being snow.
