Gawd i went outside for a smoke under carport though!! And we had a right nasty hail shower and the winds are fierce, door blows super duper and locks me out! I go to front to wave at security cam hoping ,y partner spots me on it but ive only got me slippers on and the grounds soaked and hail is hammering down, so i ring the doorbell a few times, he doesnt hear me as hes got his headphones on playing a game on the pc ! Luckily we have a key fob thing but i panic as its pitch black and i dint have light to see as my lighter packs up! Haha luckily i realise i have my moby on me and use that as a light to get the key out! The things you do for a fag eh?

Proper snowing now!

sorry for being a pain what blast at the weekend have not been able to access nw tonight

Winds veer northerly at weekend bring even colder air down across the country.

It will probably be a dry cold for inland parts though with showers on the coasts.

That band over SW Scotland has our name on it!! lol... It's been snowing here and the temp drops 2/3c in the showers but the problem is the wind is so strong and the showers move through too fast! But yes some good accumulation over parts of Cumbria! Imagine it's quite interesting over some of the high level routes just now with drifting snow.

actually think you might be right, the showers are moving a a more SE direction now, maybe i'll manage a snow shower.

I hope so, temps have been static around 2 degrees for a good few hours and the wind is just whipping up any precipitation, we need some constant heavy stuff to pull temps down. Fingers crossed things start to move SE our way instead of over the Pennines to our NE, not right places like Darlington have a snow cover in such a set up..

Finally got a decent covering now.

Only a cm or two but it's the fifth time this winter we've had full cover and that's four more than last year.

That's convinced me if we can get enough heavy showers there may be potential for a covering. Just pot luck who gets them.

Hail now. Just need a bit more elevation or it to be a bit colder.

Well no need to open the curtains here, I can tell you it's frequent rain showers rattling the glass amid a howling gale.

After hail and snow around 4.30pm I thought it would be snow all the way tonight.

Lots of activity out West which is likely to carry on through the night. Should be some nice accumulations around the region by tomorrow morning.

Same. We had a bit of snow during the day and now during nightfall it's raining! So fricking annoying. It's as though something has to happen to make sure it doesn't properly snow. :wallbash:

I hope this is just a temporary aberration. If Blackpool can get snow there's no reason why we can't.
