Clutching at straws, I seem to remember the first 10 days of May 1992 being pretty rubbish before it all changed about the 11th or 12th...

But this month so far has been abysmal. Total lack of warmth, frequent rain and drizzle, several days with little or no sunshine, and that bloody wind all the time. Normally cold Mays tend to be dry, dominated by N or NE winds, but this one has combined cold days with Atlantic weather. An awful combination.

Skyzilla has ripped cloudzilla to pieces this evening allowing some sunny spells to spill through. Current temperature around 12.5*C with the pressure rising.

Would be nice if tomorrow turns out less cloudier than predicted (although the Met Office do suggest it being a generally dull day). Should however still feel reasonable in the fairly warm South-Westerly flow.

Slate grey skies, dull, dark and windy, it's definitely a Sunday.

The highest 24 hour minimum of the year so far last night at 9.3c.

Overcast with moderate drizzle at the moment but the front responsible seems to be disintigrating rapidly so I'm not expecting much more than two or three hours of damp weather.

Been mostly sunny since about 10, would be very nice if only that wretched wind would get lost for once. It never seems to give us a break these days, spring summer or winter. As a result temp is stuck on 18C though I see places in the east are managing to make 20, despite having the wind as well. Whats so special there that always seem to be warmer?

Shock horror of course now it's a working Monday plenty of golden sunshine, set to continue the rest of the week Thursday aside, but oooh look at the weekend, cloudzillas ugly head rearing again....
