Seems to be a lot of hoops to jump through to get any showers anywhere near here over the next two days.

But as always...never say never.

The West deserves snow.

So you keep saying.  :wallbash:

It's not like the East Midlands is some super snow wonderland with several feet of snow on the ground. I had a few mm the other night and a few cm last week. Hardly anything to be jealous of. The West has done very well compared to the East on several occasions in the past. We ALL want a good snow event, lets not turn it into some stupid "the west deserves it more than the east" or vice versa crap.

So, where are these showers supposed to come from? Is there a convergence zone again like last night, where they magically pop up out of thin air, or are they the ones currently over the north of Scotland?

Woke up in Leicester this morning to snow falling at around 9am and a dusting :D wasn't quite the 5cm that Oxford had though! And now it's melted in both places :(

Just on the coach back to Ox now from the beautiful city of Leicester :D

Cheese sandwiches and a bottle of water for tea ;)

A north easterly can deliver well to the West Midlands. I hope

we can get in on the action at some stage tomorrow and Thursday.

NE can deliver, as long as the wind is on an angle, NNE no good, N no good, East is the best direction for convective snow,

Showers up north now coming in around Teeside. Maybe that energy will transfer down the coast to help our East Midlands friends out later in the night.

Plenty of snow on the berwyns.

Well today was far more sunnier and temps went upto 3.5c max even though winds turned more N/NE, but no thaw in the shade with still this morning`s frost still in the more shady areas.

Plenty of small snow drifts still left and some snow it the shade.

-2.3c last night now -0.5c

A very dry and settled couple of weeks to come by the looks of things.

'Boring' maybe, but ill take it over wet and windy if snow isn't up for grabs.

The East Midlands has done better this winter- especially more northern parts of the region. Back In January 2013 there was a much broader distribution.

I cannot see much excitement tonight or tomorrow although I might be proved wrong!

Not really anything off the Lincolnshire coast though bud :( that is where the showers seem to be coming from for Leicestershire. I'm nearly back in Ox now anyway so the chances will be even less down here.

I still can't see much shower activity on that radar either. Either i'm going blind or your radar is out of date :p
