Nice little covering here now and snowing quite heavily currently.

Radar shows the snow area has grown over the central midlands in the last 2 hrs and getting further west.Should be west of Birmingham soon.

A lot of it is fairly light but it is settling readily.

Uppers around -7c,dews -4 or -5c and air temp still around 0c so looking good.

all sounds beautiful, sorry enthusiasm getting the better of me this evening. this is what happens when things crop up out of the blue

Snow is moderate to heavy here now, accumulating quickly 2cm so far!

Kettering is the same most we had for 2 years. Didn't expect this tonight.

This very light snow snow reminds me of Central Ohio.Used to do this for days on end when we had a feed down from the Great Lakes (was about 200 miles away from them). Would take a week to get a cm on the ground!

Not much else more for us here now. Too far north. Nice little surprise though. Who knows what else might crop up this week?

And nope, it's not going to reach me. Doesn't seem to want to come much west of the M5. No snowflakes here tonight, barring something really unexpected, but Oxfordshire looks very nicely placed right now. :)

Dancer,

It is moderate snow here now. Settling on cars, etc. Some decent sized flakes, which seem to be spending their time hitting our snow shield.., because they are going back upwards again.. LOL

Lovely to see. You must have it by now.

MIA

Blimey! they heard me ( Snow Gods) With Thanks, DWW :D

Sticking straight away... Loving it :D

Don't worry guys in the west (of the west midlands) the moderate/heavy stuff is headed your way too....

It's just got going properly now here and places like Warwick and Cov are having a period of it. So more to come. It does still seem to be intensifying in places like Nuneaton and Tamworth so it could turn out to be a good/reasonable event.

Still snowing nicely this shower is a little fighter everywhere white now. Another instance of forecasts being wrong.

West of the W Midlands means to me Shrops/W Staffs/Herefs/Worcs/Gloucs. Apart from SE Worcs and E Gloucs, I can't really see where that area is going to get anything from tonight. Still, I didn't expect any, so not disappointed. Just pleased others have seen snow. :)

Getting a covering on the road here now already.

Amazing, and the snow is more persistent now.

Light snow started again here, went through a dry patch for about an hour or so with tiny small flakes falling every 10 seconds lol

Everything fizzled out on the radar here now. Nothing left downwind either. Slightly disappointing but there you go. The tiniest of dustings here in the end.

Good luck to those further east. The rest of the night is yours.

Kettering is the same most we had for 2 years. Didn't expect this tonight.

We had an inch early hours Friday but more out the sticks. In fact between here and Bedford some fields have even held on to a bit! Difference tonight is that the same amount has accumulated irrespective of the surface. Slowing down a bit but perhaps more to follow off the Wash. Great stuff.
