Gfs 18z goes for a dry evening.

Goes for a weird kink over the UK for Mon night/tues? must be some sort of feature there

Ah, my old stopping grounds, let me guess the Penkridge/Cannock/Stafford snow shield still firmly in place?......no snow in Telford as Leicester is hogging it all again?.........there's no weather in the Midlands as I nicked it all when I moved down south :ninja:  ........Anyhoos, yes I'll have a beer  :drinks:  but talking about what you're having for dinner/supper isn't on the menu especially when snow is on it's way later on tonight, so as Nick asked ever so nicely, let's keep it on the straight and narrow as it's not chucking out time..........yet!

You'd have thought so, but there is zero precipitation shown again. :-/

1 month left of winter, all I want is a two day period where snow lies and doesn't thaw.....I will be happy then.

Nope it's all showing up as snow

Really? Cool! I've got not a flake forecast for me, so that would be a bonus...

The 18z NMM's are showing a band of PPN around 3am to 5am, when temps will be 0c and DP's -3 and 850's around the -5c to -6c mark....

One word... SNOW :cold: Only a dusting though! http://www.meteociel.fr/modeles/wrfnmm.php?ech=3&mode=1&map=330

Folks, while this is generally a more laid back thread compared to the likes of the model thread, we still ask that we keep it broadly weather related.

If you want to discuss what you had for dinner or what you're watching on telly, feel free to take it to the Lounge.

Thank you.

Just because all you had for dinner was beans on toast and not a whole pig spit roasted, don't take it out on us :p

Just kidding :D

Weather, ok so NMM is showing that there will be a band of light snow crossing the Midlands later but GFS says it's going to be dry. There is currently a small finger of light snow making it's way Southwards from the Derby/Stafford area. Doesn't look like much to me but might give us a dusting in Oxford.

I do think that temps and dew points are too high for snow tonight, plus there's the fact that there's no weather anywhere to bring snow.

Am looking forward to porridge for breakfast tomorrow #rebel <<hides from Nick L>>

Well do it in the lounge area then

I'm sorry, I'll try and be good and on topic, but - oh man, us midlanders do need some cheering up. The past fortnight has been horrid. Always Christmas and never bloody winter.
