I still think we will have snow

Maybe 200m+..maybe at lower levels, but it won't accumulate below those levels IMO. So it's kind of pointless anyway!

3 inches of snow here and still falling, regards to the fun later it will do whatever it has to but I'd b very very surprised if it's rain that falls from the sky, especially with a bit of height

Well the Polar Low or the Viennese Whirl or whatever you want to call it seems to now be racing south to south east at a really fast pace.

The whirly polar thing seems to be following the track of the current crop of showers in the Irish Sea.

Not wishing to get too optimistic but this could be good news for here...

...forget model output, this is radar and satelite watching time!

Hard to tell, only going off what I can see on the satelite and the radar...but I think we are in with a real shout at this time.

Also hard to tell if I'm only seeing what I want to see! Radar plays tricks on my biased eyes sometimes!

steadily rising here as well, forecast is for much milder air tomorrow and Saturday, before the real cold plunge behind Saturday's rain

Showers are still of snow and they stick, but it still keeps melting in between them despite the sun setting hours ago. The air temp just refuses to go below zero, even at night.

Is the polar low time-wise meant to be hitting Northern Ireland or is it ahead of it's self compared to the Forecast ???
