The snow eased off for a short while, but it's coming down thick & fast again now 

 

Looking at the radar, that might be it for now. Let's hope the sun, if/when it reappears, doesn't melt it all away quickly.

Seriously. What is it about Leicester and snow? As if it hits the ring road and bounces off it. Same with thunderstorms in the summer. Rain? Yes. Wind? Yes. Lightning? Not so much.

 

I know It's kind of funny that some people are still moaning that west mids has it bad. The bulk of the PPN doesn't even reach our area the majority of time, it's pretty much all out of steam when it gets here. That's if it hasn't been eradicated by our world class snow shield

Uh so it looks like something is just about to hit Leicester, but it's North Leicester again, bone dry here. Blue skys and sun. I can see the dark ominous clouds in the distance, which is somewhat torturous...

The blob on the rdar is just reaching here, temp still 4.7c but falling rapidly. First flakes of snow on the drizzle becoming visible!

Its stopped now anyway. I follow ATC Leicester on twitter and they said "There's a huge snow storm around the #Leicester area - roads looking very dangerous!"

 

Not prone to hyperbole then.

Some light to moderate snow here now finally. Nice to see, but it'll only last a few minutes.

Yep it lasted all of 2 minutes And judging by radar thats our lot, atleast for now. Hoping for more later tonight
