Well the bbc news24 weather was just the 5 dayer and early hours Thursday and Thursday night showed bands of Snow pilling in to the Midlands area...the forecaster said winds and air from the artic all next week...with possible high pressure toppling over us end next week with really cold nights etc...that was a straight northerly showing on that forecast all way thru next week....

18Z shows still cold from Sat, that low dropping down looks too far west again, but does turn winds NW'ly during Sunday, so maybe snow in -8 uppers, still FI though yet

Plenty of showers this evening. Some have been snow (which pitched), but most have been sleet. Wasn't expecting to see much this evening, so not disappointed (yet).

Looks like a decent blob of something heading directly towards Telford.

Fingers crossed (even if it's rain), as the TF2 precipitation filter has been annoyingly in good working order so far tonight cry_blownose.gif

Yep Bish,

Snowing streadily here between Solihull and Shirley.

Now starting to build up on cars and grass and pavements in the open.

Temp slowly falling away. Now at 1.1C with dewpoint of -2.1C and slowly falling.

I told you there would be some annoyed people when showers were missed by a matter of 10-15 miles

At least you are in with a shout! Showers dying out 30 miles West of here for the past 3 hours.
