Radar showing snow over me, but bloody can't see as lamppost been turned off!! It all looks promising on radar, but always seems to split once it gets to here!

Go outside and lookup at the sky. If it's snowing you will feel it on your face.

Reports I am reading suggest the track of the low is further SE than the Met O expected. Appears some of us were more accurate,

It is, and yes!!  :D

An interesting couple of hours coming up... just getting ready for a late night. Let's hope it doesn't end in tears!! (Pesky warm sector could cause problems)

You're just down the road from me, always nice to have someone local when watching these kinds of things track towards us!

I'm not far off as a matter of fact... victory against the Met Office. :D

Along with several other forumites who did not back the more westerly track. :good:

It sure is. Been looking for your posts and enjoyed reading them. When you mentioned it was snowing earlier rushed outside and after just a couple of minutes I could see the snow flakes start to fall ... I really need to stay up for this tonight

My girlfriend lives in Gravesend so it was great getting reports further NW knowing in 10-15 times I'd be getting the same! It's been a great night so far, a couple of cm from this lot would be the cherry on the cake

Going to be a close call for Peterborough as we're going to be right on the eastern edge of this. Looks good for Northants though.

Must be a little bit milder here than earlier as light sleet falling here in central London

Oh God... it needs to get heavier... snow then hopefully. I haven't checked the temp and DP here in Medway.

Heavy snow now arriving over Northampton, even a dark orange pixel on my radar- 6-8 mm per hour.

All to my East. Dry here

I'm around 50 miles just south east of Peterborough.  Nothing fallen here since around 14.50, temp fallen from 0.7° to 0.4° in the last hour and the moon has now disappeared behind clouds.  There was light breeze when I took the bins up the drive at midnight, now it's very still.  Work tomorrow, but the radar looks good enough to stay up a while!
