I'm in the same boat... hoping that the top of the 'J' manages to swing over my location, but it is fantastic for those under the streamers.

You're in a prime location, no signs of it fizzling yet

Looking very dodgy on the A roads there, doesn't look like the gritters were expecting this at all.

P.S a free chart showing where the rain is, where the sleet, snow is, not sure how accurate it is though |http://www.meteoradar.co.uk/Home/?type=rain-snow-sleet

No accurate at all we was looking at that it said rain and sleet but ended up all snow for everyone. There is no mild sector in this system at all.

Precip has expanded a little to the northern edge good for moi.

I'm a little more encouraged by that too - Seems to be edging slightly further SEwards now

I'm not sure about how London will fare right now... The Chiltern's seem to be sucking the life out of the thin wodge of ppn heading towards London.

I hope I'm wrong.

I have sent the following to the MetO.....@metofficeUK @metofficeEng Can you kindly explain why you have not updated your warnings due to heavy snowfall from the Cheshire Gap to SE?

They update based on probability of disruption.. The snow isn't going to cause a whole lot of issues at 4am

In and around London get's 1cm and it's lock-down time, so there will be disruption in certain London based areas.

Sensible! Not a hint of ANY gritting in the Central London area as far as I can tell, so things will get very messy indeed if it does track over us.

Looks like the Chiltern's might not have swallowed up the ppn, but they definitely slowed it up a bit.

Looking good still, so have just positioned a lamp shining out of the window in preparation, but still have stars visible to my West. The suspense is killing me!!!

Large drink anyone??

ok its going SSE, need to to go ESE! or just east

The heaviest stuff isn't going to reach us, I think we can call that now, but it never looked like it would - I'm interested in the finger of snow that points more Northwards and then after that the snow further North

Is there a huge amount of traffic in Central London at 4am, then? Had it been say, 4pm then I'd agree a warning would be needed
