Looks like might get some fairly heavy snow shortly East Herts/ West Essex.

Looks like it

Typically that last line of showers weakened between Newport and Sawbo whilst retaining a little more intensity to the N and S of there.

There is a weaker zone in this next band coming through too, though looks more likely to stay to the North of Bishops Stortford at least for you (will more than likely pass through here!)

Either side of this though could be a decent covering.

If you replay the showers on the radar which have just run through into the se London area, they intensified a fair bit. They were just a small scattering North or London.Something to look out for later tonight.

Haha. My wife just called me a loser. But hey what do they know :-)

can't see any flakes in Ockendon but one or two cars outside loo like they have a few flakes on them. my family thinks I'm mad too if its any consolation.

Snowshield has just energised its warp factor defcon 10 kettle heating element. Holding strong, no flakes in sight.

We're in line for a pasting later though

What are people's thoughts re Reigate - too far west for the current lot and too Far East for the polar low?

dunno I'm in Reigate . Missed the earlier snow as work in London  but pleased to see it settled ,had to scrape car in Redhill after getting off train. Think we might get lucky later

Light snow falling here.. anything heavier will 100% be snow and should begin to settle even down to sea level.

Shower train appears to be setting up..

Looks like on radar the PL has started to move more in a southerly direction , looks like main area now might well be the south west of the country

Back from my first shift. A couple of light snow showers, one on my last delivery of the night. A heavier one looks inbound :)

Will do the FAX charts in a bit.
