Refreshing to see pinks over large swathes of the SE, snow still continuing here and it looks for a while yet. I'm going to catch some sleep, and wake up at 6 to access where we are, night folks. :D

Interesting heavy snow in Northampton driving back to Bicester nothing as per radar.

3 days in a row witnessed falling snow although nothing great that is a hell of a lot better than the last couple of years . Want more though

Poor Portsmouth

False. We had snow between 1.30 and 2am here, settled a little too. Mostly melted now but still traces.

Well another morning I wake and grab my phone to see who's got snow but sadly when I finally looked out my window I see...... Nothing again. Pleased for who got lucky but since the cold snap started we've been very unlucky and missed all the snow in my area. (Just outside Maidstone )

BBC Weather for the Week Ahead - 1-2-15

(Just need that high to head north a bit more and we'd be in a nice Easterly)

Nothing much about no where mate, nothing round this neck of the woods apart from sleet, had a good 2" yesterday morning before turning to rain then dreary muck since, bbc have us down for sleet at best for the next few days but I don't take what they say as gospel

Lol, looks like it snowed in the night according to the radar and people local to me, but nothing to show for it looking out the window - all melted. So marginal this spell so far for settling snow!

Tipping it down with rain here and blowing a gale. No sign of the covering of snow indicated in the MetO forecasts last night.

What an absolute damp squib of a cold spell, far too marginal, and looks the same over the next few days judging by the rain symbols on the maps.

I wonder if we'll ever see an Easterly again sometimes!

0.9C and sleeting.....the same as it's been doing the past 12 hours. Miserable!
