I don't want it to snow. My dearest beloved mother is in hospital with heart failure not likely to make it. Snow will always have negative connotations for me.

Instead of being a joy, it will be e heart ache. Just not now.

Sorry to hear that.  Best wishes.

I carry the sentiments of others, prayers go to you and your dearest xx. I know it looks bleak but take slight comfort heart failure does not always end in heartbreak, I hope she puts up a fight. Just remember the weather will do what it wants, it'll have no bearing on your life. Try your best to stay strong, I know it is hard. *hugs*

I dont think thats the case, I believe its all the showers off the coast further up north drifting down the eastern side, some may make it further inland but the majority will be towards the eastern coasts

Ok we'll see :=)

Went from very heavy snow for about an hour (gave a cm or so everywhere, even on the roads), turned to drizzle now, snow gone and temperature now rising :( Currently 0.8C

Metoffice  seem to think showers will be back to snow after midnight with accumulations

When the second load of snow came that night in Jan 2003, it only lasted about an hour, but is one of the best snowfalls I have ever seen.

Here is a pic of the next morning in Huntingdon.

Hearing snow blowing against the windows like sand is a great sound!

Fantastic pic! I just remember an all night blizzard going on (was only like 12 at the time lol) and we lost power to our house for 8 hours and the constant roar of the wind down the chimney lasted until the next morning!

Really was a cracking event.

Looks okay to me opinions coming in from the experts about some snow for all the region however caution advised we won't all see the white stuff

I would say if you've done well today expect more of the same tonight.

Do you think the ppn will be mainly hitting the East of our region? Essex, Norfolk, Suffolk downwards? The radar seems to be showing this now.

You are all so kind. We really are a community. Your thoughts mean a lot. She is my best friend.

She always hated the stuff. Probably something to do with struggling through winter 62/63 with 4 young children and an absent husband for most of it (Dad was on a business trip to Brazil). Not helped by living out in the country on top of a steep hill. We relied on a neighbour who had a LandRover, but we survived.

Beautiful lovely Mum.

I'm sorry to hear that. Take care x

Mmm possibly but the nnm and netwr are picking up ppn over the whole region

It's a more organised band but it seems to be heading more east. But I obviously hope not.
