More to move from the north anything could pop up

We have ppn developing due north of our region. It could be an interesting night.

Any snow in that band forming north of London, or is it just rain?

Just got back from work.

Been to Ipswich, Chelmsford and Epping. Been a mixture of rain sleet and snow. There was some accumulation along the A414 and the M11 at Stanstead  Airport. It's just typical that the ppn had to turn back to rain :nonono:

Look forward to some more snow. :D

Freshly updated NMM 12z is good if snow is what you're lookimg out for. :)

Yeah bank that lol! Gives a few hours of snow for pretty much the lot of us :)

Comment our warm sectors if the low moves to far west is true.. And a fair point but I think with the cooler uppers setting up and better conditions tonight any pesky warm sectors should stay away :)

Looks just the same as today (for tomorrow daylight), I'd be happier with no precipitation.

If this event wasn't so marginal, we'd be seeing similar scenes to January 2003. The parameters look very similar indeed, it's just the temps and dew points need to be lower. Here's hoping for tonight.

When the second load of snow came that night in Jan 2003, it only lasted about an hour, but is one of the best snowfalls I have ever seen.

Here is a pic of the next morning in Huntingdon.

Hearing snow blowing against the windows like sand is a great sound!

Heavier now and trying to land, fingers crossed this heavier bit stays for long enough.

I don't want it to snow. My dearest beloved mother is in hospital with heart failure not likely to make it. Snow will always have negative connotations for me.

Instead of being a joy, it will be e heart ache. Just not now.

I know this sounds silly but can showers pop up without notice from the radar?

The best snowfalls IMO are tend to be the unexpected ones.

This tweet got my attention: @PiperLiam On and off for the next few hours. Overnight, perhaps some more significant snow moving Southwards through Colchester.

Of course this based on Essex but I'd assume the wider region will also benefit.

I hate to say this but I have good feeling about tonight.

The ppn off the north sea looks to be gaining strength.

So sorry to hear that. Sending all our love and saying a little prayer for her.

I cant see anywhere west of East Sussex getting anything tonight, showers will filter in down the east of the country but they wont push to far inland

There's an organised band of precipitation working down the country tonight. Exact position unknown .

I dont think thats the case, I believe its all the showers off the coast further up north drifting down the eastern side, some may make it further inland but the majority will be towards the eastern coasts
