Had heavy snow for a bit in Reading last nigh and got a few centimeters. But just a centimeter left now as I woke up and it's started sleeting.

Good, heavy wet snow here, trying to settle on the grass. I imagine any sort of elevation locally will give a half decent temporary cover.

Burst of heavier snow and settling on paths and side roads. If it keeps up there'll be fun but it's too patchy.

Snowing nicely here on the high ground in Tunbridge Wells, medium size flakes and settling.

Anybody care to send some of your snow north to us in Norfolk? Nowt here but cold and cloudy.

Touchwood there will be showers pushing south from the north sea from later today and by tomorrow they should be falling as snow. Your location should be god for most of the coming week given the winds will be from the north and later the north east.

Unbelievable, it snowed last night! 2cm coating, genuinely no-one forecasted this.

Becoming sleety here. Not hopeful of anything settling but will be nice to see a few proper flakes.

I'm not sure. It did something as it's wet outside, perhaps it snowed and melted :unknw:

Surprised to see it still snowing in many places in the south east. The snow on the ground and surfaces is melting here quite fast now with rainfall. Temperature 2 degrees. Anyone seeing snow right now with the same temperature?

Just had a look at the radar and it seems the more wintry precipitation is further east around the London area where here in Reading we had our fix at 3am and now have to stick with rain!

MetO were caught out as many places had amazing heavy snowfall.

There's currently a squall line of ppn in a diagonal line from the NW which could give us even more snow.

RE: Croydon - There will be a lull for approx 15 30 mins soon until more snow.

It's going to be very testing from Tuesday when the Beast From The East unleashes it's might.

Wahoo! Snowing again. Glad it's Saturday and not during the week. Gets a bit embarrassing periodically glancing out of the window at work! Stopped again (sad face)
