Snow is much more likely to fall compared to last night with more favourable WBFL along with dew point & temp, it will struggle to reach 4c tomorrow and I assume those under precip the temp will be kept down, NMM is really going for it - I rate it highly, following last few days.

Let's hope so. Any chance of wet bulb getting down below 200m? Can't be naffed to try and calculate it.

Thanks Daniel, that actually looks half decent for once. Will peer out the window when the kids inevitably wake me up in the small hours.

In the last 4 years we have had some of the snowiest and coldest winters in recent times, it has certainly raised the bar, i can count on one hand the amount of times there was enough snow to make a snowball in my location from the mid 90's onwards, YES it can and does happen but its certainly not to be expected or something which happens often.

A few flakes of settling snow is great, anything extra is a bonus personally, while the uppers are in place during what is typically the coldest part of the year many suprises could be just around the corner and it seems the breakdown keeps getting pushed into FI.

WBFL will chop and change, tomorrow midday for instance it becomes unfavourable for snow for most of our region, hence the forecasts for rain/sleet during the day

Towards the evening things become favourable again. Sunday sees things become a little unfavourable but Monday onwards we should be all set. Until then, a mix of rain, sleet and snow.

One of these days we'll have an event that isn't marginal

We need this to turn into a proper cold spell. Not with temps at 5 degrees etc.

It does look like a streamer (possibly two) that is developing in the Irish Sea and hitting North wales in the Prestatyn area, with another possibly also forming in the Mersey and into Chester. Temperatures are dropping swiftly as well over much of the East of the country, so maybe worth keeping an eye on.

Not quite sure where that blob is heading SE/SSE might glimpse past the far west of this region, say west of London, Scotland is also showing interest, radar is not that bad.

Places to the West of our region and those in central Southern parts could fare quite well out of it. looks to be going SSE at the moment, but winds look to be turning more to the SE as it pushes down.

The kerbs are beginning to disappear... in the space of 5 minutes!! Just like looking out of the window isn't it??

Meanwhile the ppn is holding together very nicely indeed, let's hope it starts moving in a more SE'ly direction.
