Quite clearly those bands of showers are heading SE towards us, but I'm afraid I'm not going to stay up and watch it arrive, hopefully its not all gone when I get up just before 7am.

I have had a look at the radar and charts. I'm an amateur not a pro but I have a good feeling about the coming hours :)

Paul does your prediction mean that kent will be in line for snow? I am confused as some poster further north of us are saying the fronts are going east not southeast.

Definately South East Angela.

Parts of it will head east further North but that will pivot around as the LP Moves South East as well. Just hoping the troughs associated with this system can impact far enough east for us from 3-4am onwards

That system now looking quite good for our region. I may be eating a large hat made of snow in the morning. Oh well. Only 3 hours until the cricket starts!

also a lot of posts saying it's raining, I'm still a bit concerned that there seems to be some milder air mixing in! I won't be happy until I see snow fall and stay as snow lol

Polar Low is full of energy as it continues to push towards the SE including London. Break-Away clusters are now in motion, so certain areas will start to see snow. The main band of ppn is right behind the Break-Away clusters. Enjoy the snow. Remember, the fun really starts from this weekend as it will turn much colder into next week  :D

Radar looks good for the SE/EA - localised 5cm not out the question, we shall see.

wow been out since 4:30 only missed 40 pages.... Expecting a bit more snow early tomorrow morning but temps don't look to be falling away below 1 degree so I don't expect to wake up to anything. Saturday morning and Sunday morning also not without interest but again it doesn't look like amounting to more than a snow shower or two. Interest is in Tuesday morning which is now within the 5 day range, maybe something more sizable then!

Very tempting but I'm going to get some Zs then combine the cricket with snow watching. Come on England. Come on snow!

Epping is reporting -1 dew point and 1c. Should be all snow on those numbers.
