Very wet and windy overnight the rain has now cleared but its still windy although nothing like last night

A windy and mild night with a short spell of heavy rain after midnight, nothing out the ordinary though.

The rain cleared to the east during the early hours, the wind decreased and the cloud cleared; currently it's dry with sunny intervals.

 

At 0900.

Windy overnight, some mainly light rain. Turning very mild for a short time, then colder again through the early hours. Clear so far this morning, dry. Temperature falling slowly.

Yesterday.

 

Clear spells and a few snow showers overnight, producing a slight cover by morning. Widespread frost and ice. Bight so far this morning, very icy. Sunshine becoming increasingly hazy and weak through the day as a vale of cirrostratus  and later altostratus spread across the area. Feeling cold with ice, snow and frost persisting until early afternoon. Turning windy through the evening, some light rain.

Not as windy here as I expected, averaged 30mph with a gust of 44 around 3:30am. Temp overnight was 8c at 8pm to 10.5c at 4am.

10mm of rain between midnight and 4am and about 4mm yesterday evening.

Wind WSW has eased now and its dry, 9.3c

991 hpa and rising.

82mm rain this month, 10mm today, 7mm yesterday.

A cold day turning colder as the day went on. Winds arriving later than predicted but nothing of note so far. One or too spots of rain in the breeze

Max temp 9.1C now 4.2C

Barometer 978mb falling

Wind F7 SSw Gusting 54mph

Rainfall 5.4mm

 

A few minutes after typing this 62  mph reached

The cold front (squall line) cleared through midnight when the temperature was a very mild 9.9c. Clear intervals after the rain and some showers, fresh decreasing to moderate SW breeze. 

Colder today (than overnight), sunny intervals and a few passing hail and rain showers, the moderate SW wind picked up to fresh gusting gale force this afternoon. 

 

Min 2.9c @ 0630

Max by day 5.5c @ 1500 

Rain yesterday 28.2mm (Teifi in spate)

Rain since 0900 today 1.5mm approx

Est sun 2 hours

Max gust SW 38mph @ 1438

Sunny periods during the morning  followed by a heavy shower of small hail, then snow, from about 1225 to 1245. The ground was white with hail for an hour after the shower but it had all thawed by the end of the afternoon.

The afternoon was dry and mainly cloudy after the shower, also with a freshening SW wind.

 

At 1800.

Min' last night; 1.8c ( down to 0.6c in the hail and snow shower )
