Snow showers late yesterday evening have given a thin cover. The rest of the night was dry with clear intervals and currently it's dry with a good deal of ragged St which occasionally descends to around 360 m.

Further though mainly light showery rain overnight. A clearance arrived from the west close to dawn. Ground forming. Turning mostly clear this morning. Cloud quickly returned through the morning with a spells of rain and sleet setting in towards the end of the morning and in to the early afternoon. Turning colder through the day. temperature around 14:30GMT, 2.0c. The late after noon saw a few cloud breaks returning with a little late sunshine.

Occasional snow and snow pellet showers last night adding further slight but below 1cm accumulation, clear intervals and frosty, a light to moderate SW breeze.

Sunny start then a sheet of thickening Cs rapidly spread over during morning. Cloudy afternoon with a strengthening south wind. Intermittent mostly light rain from 1330 has become heavier recently. A chilly day but the snow cover has steadily thawed this afternoon and has now largely disappeared. Wind strong, gusting gale force for the past couple of hours and is still increasing.
