Morning all, +1.2c here no scrapping of the car this morning

Fromey

Yep. No frost here either +1.6 overnight.

Looking at the rest of the week, hardly a frost in sight and temps not that cold at 5-6 - When does the 'cold' spell suppose to start?

This whole cold spell has turned into just one event as S.Murr has been posting on the MO Thread. Where this snow event will occur. The spine of the country might see a bit of snow but that's it. SW winds by the weekend according to the output, so putting this week down as a bit of a colder week.

I'm hoping for just dry weather now.

It looks like our location isn't going to do very well out of the cold spell, in fact temps between 5-7c for most of this week suggests we are well out of the game for snowfall.

Yes a cold snap without the snow. All models pointing to a W/SW flow come the w/e.

Yes, but....I think we are missing the 'cold' bit too! This is just normal winter January weather! Anyway don't panic, there is another SSW warming forecast at 384 hours, we will be saved!!! Won't be long and massive blocking will appear to the north.......haha.

Time to through in the towel for this cold spell at least.

Always was going to be very if'y anyway(especially right down here) with so much atlantic influence in proceedings.

Will that be it for this year????

Hope not but time is running out for us in the extreme south, spring is coming

Is that snow on the radar I can see on Cornwall. Anyone on here from the St Agnes Camborne area?

Surprised you all have + temps, weather station here showing -2.7C here, grass frost and car iced up. I hope we get to see some decent snow these next coming days/nights, it's been a bit of a "roller coaster". The Beeb don't seem too keen on it mind, hope they're wrong!!

Anyone else having problems viewing the forum? Everything else working absolutely fine on my computer but the community pages on here - type face turns into teeny, tiny size.

Hmmm, can't understand it, literally everything else is working fine, including the home page on here; it's only the forum pages not working. Any clues what to do? My computer knowledge is pretty much limited to knowing where the 'on' button is.

A strange night.. The temp sharply fell to -0.5°C around 8pm last night. Within minutes, it was back up to 2°C.

It never got below 0.9°C after that.

Currently 2.6°C and sunny. The rest of the week doesn't look particularly cold here.
