Is your weather station online?

No there's a display indoors that is wireless-linked to a thermometer outdoors so I have to take manual readings from the display.

-3.6 here currently in Newbury so I expect colder out in the rural parts.. And maybe lower temps early morn? Think I'll leave the heating on tonight! First time this winterâ„ï¸â„ï¸

Glad you've settled into the area. You'll be on the Bagley Wood side of Kennington. Extra bit of elevation can't do any harm. At some point you'll observe that the amount of snow that sticks there is noticeably greater than here.

Yeah that's right! Upper Road to be precise. I do like Oxfordshire on a whole, good place to live but bloody dear at the same time, haha.

I'm thinking of investing in a weather station but don't want to pay any more than £100. Anyone got a suggestion?

Blimey, you can tell what a let down this "cold spell" has been, I just saw tumble weed blow through the MOD thread

-1.5C, DP -4.3C. Mind you that ppn isn't actually moving, it's some sort of optical illusion.

Just had a look at one of those. They do look pretty decent to be fair!

Get your humidity sorted out! ;-)

Once you get moisture in that little hole at the bottom of the module, it'll stick at 100%.

I dried mine out then situated it in a makeshift Stevenson screen with a PC fan. It certainly made a difference considering I spent £5 to do it.

Yes keep meaning to do it, need to get it sorted. Will do that tomorrow hopefully.

don't believe the speckly snow showers that are showing on the Netweather extra radar in Central Southern England! Skies are currently clear and nout is falling out of the sky! and when it does, it will be rain anyway IMBY!

Another harsh frost this morning, all change for later I guess

After snow I really like crisp cold sunny mornings so I am going to miss them.

Lets hope we get a proper cold snap before winters end

Rain,on and off all night. Broken cloud now with some sun, strong S/SSE wind making it feel cold.

The snow shower of yesterday morning is but a distant memory now.

Game over for me now but hope some of you up the line get a surprise later.

-4.5c this morning (car thermometer reached -6c briefly) and great to have a proper frost at least out of the cold (cool, cooler, less mild) spell...

Still think there could be a few surprised people tomorrow in the West Country - these types of weather are tough to get exactly right.
