Yes..but the snow won't settle with temps above freezing. U just get horrid wet snow and lots of puddles.

Not completely true, if dew point is low enough the ppb will lower ground temperature and aid settling.

Shower nearly upon me 1.2c and- 1 do so shall see soon.

Been watching the radar all evening and the snow line is defo moving South. Now looks to be South of M4, was mid Wales across at about 5pm.

Partly cloudy this morning with temp 6C and wind If it's of any interest the latest fax charts for the next few days. The only thing I will say with any certainty is there is no chance of snow in the part of the world. Others remain marginal.

Would you Adam and Eve it have woken up to a thin blanket of snow. Checked the radar came down about an hour ago. Not enough to get really excited but good to see. Off to great mis tor now. Must be some thick stuff up there.

A fine layer of icing sugar here. Nothing showing on the Webcam at Postbridge but looking good in the background on the top of the moor. Have fun Festivalking.

1.1mm of something overnight, could have been sleet according to radar.  Overcast but clear when I got up at 08.00, now foggy!  Hoping it clears as there's nothing so dispiriting as a damp, foggy and cold Sunday.  Was hoping for blue skies and sunshine..... :wallbash:

Tiny bit of laying snow from over night but must of been very wet because its like an ice rink now.

Good to hear of snow on the Mendips, Cotswolds and Dartmoor overnight. We must have been very close to a widespread snow event as the cold air undercut from the North as the precipitation moved West to East, but I can only assume it rained/sleeted near here as Cley Hill was green at first light!

 

Glorious day now and not that cold at 5.1c currently, the next focus of attention is how cold it will get tonight however the showery trough over Northern counties may move South as cloud and annoyingly prevent us achieving the potential minima.

Wednesday is our window of opportunity I reckn! Although by we I mean everyone except me of course!

And me, it will miss us. We have the pleasure of the channel in the summer so winter precipitation doesn't come in the list of extras.

Interesting that it hovered around 1.7c all night with DP now @ 0,5c
