Morning all. Got up about half an hour ago. No snow in Arborfield (near Reading), and no frost either. Temperature was +2c when I got up but fallen to + 1.3c now. Not hopeful of seeing any snow now.

Morning. Hmmm.... Well there's no street lights here but the trampoline has a thin layer of something on it, I'm guessing it's icy sleet, which still seems to be falling. Not too much to get excited about. However it's a vague white colour so I'll take that. Hope there are pleasant surprises out the this morning.

Nothing settled here if indeed we had much snow. About to take the dog out for a walk. Will get up to 300 metres so will see if the snow line is up there.

Got up this morning expecting to see a decent layer of snow but instead it's just a thin layer of slush and now raining.

Same here. If it snowed I missed it

It's tipping it down here, with a mixture of rain, sleet and Chunky wet snow flakes. Woke a few times but the showers seemed to miss here, but going from what others have said, it would likely have nothing anyway.

No snow at 70 meters up, will drive over the top to work to see feat it's like at 600 feet. Hopefully well get done proper snow as we head through the rest of Jan. Was never really convicted snow from a marginal westerly was going to produce much lol.

Woo woo woke up at 4am to see it snowing and we had a good2-3cm covering over everything. Sadly it has melted back since from the roads and pavements but still a light covering on the grass and cars. First lying snow for Gloucester since 18th Jan 2013. And first lying snow I have seen since February 2013.

Now for the wind storm boo!!

Yep we have a light covering here too, none at 3 a.m., but understand it was a good cover at 4 a.m. Not enough to play in.

Clear sky at the moment with temp 4.7C wind WNW 22mph gusting 50. Had a thunderstorm yesterday evening and last nights Camborne ascent is a good example of a cold unstable airstream with the tropopause down to 400mb.

Well that was rubbish for us.  I woke up to the rain battering down at 4am.

This morning, not even a frost.

Did you really expect a frost? Temperatures were never forecast to go down to freezing.

Lots of over night rain and hail showers. Lowest temp 1.9. As predicted a very wet affair.

Quite a few reports in Southampton, Bournemouth and Blandford on local radio of some snow flakes this morning.

We had a short heavy rain shower late evening and some thunder.

No sleet or snow.

Just drizzly rain here now 3.2c
