After those initial flurries it's all gone quiet here. Wrong side of the streamers.

There's plenty going on out to sea at the moment on the radar,, not convinced the squall line off Cornwall will be the only one tonight. Could be wishful thinking though...

Showers are really building out west, some are going to get lucky tonight im sure but it is hard to track exact track of them as they grow and build etc.

temperature is about right for laying snow here now 0.6c  dp -2c just need the showers.

Starting to see distant flashes now be nice to have something thundery this early in the year and the fact Scotland has a fair bit looking at the ATD over the last few days could be us southerners turn.Good luck on getting some snow peeps.

Anyone know if the 700hpa wind vectors on the radar is the best general guide of which way precipation is heading? Thanks

How come you moved?

Used to enjoy your snow reports from Dartmoor.

Off to Dartmouth for our usual late January break there next Thursday 22nd for 3 nights at the Royal Castle hotel.

Looking at the radar, I'm thinking those streamers are going to go south of here.. Blooming typical if they do! Yeovil and areas around there always seem to get more snow than here.. Hope I'm proved wrong

Down to 2.7C as of 10 mins ago. Last band of showers died out well before reaching here - dry all the way between here and the Bristol Channel atm. No showers here since 7:50pm.

I am very well thanks, I hope you are too. I have to say whilst I do miss Princetown at times like this, living in civilisation, being able to pop to the shop, have a takeaway delivered and being in the city in 10 minutes is worth the sacrifice of missing the snow!

I hope all you lot up the hills get a good covering tonight!

Approx what direction are the flashes coming from? Might take a sneaky peek as I live about 10 miles N of Bristol.

Dartmouth is fantastic, you will have a great time! I moved because firstly the wife hated it up there with a passion. Too remote and "villagey" etc, and also I had the opportunity to move down to Plympton Fire Station with the Fire Service which is much busier. So I took it!

I miss giving the snow reports! We do get some here occasionally being on the edge of the moors but being 350m lower than I was, its a much lower chance!
