Just got back from 5 aside and got caught in the band of showers that passed through at around 5:30. Turning to snow for around 10/15 minutes.

1st time I've seen it in 2 years!

A blizzard bringing a sudden drift of snow traps you in your house without beer, not melting until tomorrow afternoon when 80mph gusts of wind bring a tree down trapping you indoors again still without no beer?

you know to much!!!

Squall line approaching from the west. Thunder snow on the way?

1c here. Dusting up on the hills.

Looking at the ECM tonight it's looking goods for some real winter weather now right out for 10 days. Bit of a blip later tomorrow and then below ave temps all the way and lots of low pressure.

Is Bristol a snow magnet?

I thought I lived in a milder part of the UK, but I'm not so sure now.

That did make me laugh when I saw it posted in the model thread, but I think Manchester has even less snow than we do, which has got to hurt when your that far up North.

Temp here still too high, 3.1 but it's dropped half a degree quite quickly so we will see. Wells has its own snow dome as well as Dorset, so I'm not getting my hopes up yet

It looks like the streamer is heading in your direction to be fair and at least you have had time for temperatures to fall further.. Think south of Bristol will have to wait until after mid night looking at shower spread.

Line of shower inbound showing on radar, currently rain in the channel, sleet/snow over land. Will the rain over the water change to sleet/snow as soon as it hits land.

Will know in about 10mins time.

Temp 3.1c

Dewpoint 2.2c
