Hi,

Just as I wait for possible snow I am curious if any knows how much snow did the Liverpool/Merseyside area get in the February 1991 spell - I know being an Easterly a lot would have been sheltered by the pennines but some one on hear said that he got 15cm or so - does anyone remember how much snow in my locale as I can't seem to remember it very well.  Also how did my patch fare in 1987 so I think it might have been not that much snow but it might have lasted a long time due to how cold that spell was?

Our resident cold expert on mod thread...mr s murr is very bullish about his snow map being correct..

And were in the middle of it, some right in the sweet spot.

Have you got a link?

Radar shows moderate echoes above. Lamppost says no.

Looks like BT and me are in the sweet spot as well on his map - we will have to wait and see what falls from the sky but I am confident we will get some snow if this cold spell continues - that is if the ECM is not correct apparently - someone on the model thread has said 144 shocking presumably saying the Atlantic is coming back it but I do think if that stratospheric warming verifies then times could get very interesting indeed.

Light flurry here in haydock. Shows how again its all really isolated even in towns.

It was the same here for about half an hour so fingers crossed it gets heavier for you, it's by chance that I'm here I usually reside in haydock.

Its been snowing here for a hour now. Its still not sticking, except on the existing lying snow.

Gone heavier again.
