BBC graphics are so depressing for Tuesday, showed big snow showers right across Scotland and Ireland then a couple of light ones across the pennines and some in Wales, basically the same as yesterday but instead of rain/sleet/hail showers it is snow, we are such a sheltered region for showers, cumbria even more so.

BBC graphics are very different to that and tbh i trust the BBC after they showed very few showers on Saturday and they turned out to be correct

Looking poor for Tuesday on the NMM. Nothing for our region essentially, haha!

How come when it's just rain we get soaked like today? But then when it's cold enough for snow it seems to miss our region?

Is there an actual reason or is it just bad luck? :(

to oversimplify, rain comes fro the west so we get a direct hit, snow comes from the north or east and has mountains to cross first.

we can of course get snow from the west or north west...but for me at least its not that i miss there events, more that im too close to the coast and its normally the wrong side of marginal.

the olny time I get interested or hope for snow is when we have deep entrenched cold, and even then it can still rain here.
