just made up 53 myself, i must be the elder statesman in the North West thread.

Being old does have one advantage though, you can remember winters that had heavy snow in them.

I'm not the oldest yay :)... The clues in the 61 bit !!... Edited by Mokidugway

Well I can remember harsh ish winters 80s

We had a few snowy ones in the first half of the 80's.

Had some awful summers as well though although I remember July 83 and most of summer 84 being glorious.

Yeah that's where it came from although it came close to being 62.

remember it well serious snow brilliant thunderstorms and long hot days :)...

Hay making in July 83, the worst sun burn I've ever had and the only time I've ever had prickly heat.

Painful doesn't come close to describing it.

Does that mean I keep my elder statesman title.

something to do with a certain spectrum of sunlight apparently ..

Or the fact that we just don't see enough of the damn thing to get used to it.

Strangely though I do think that the strength of the sun is increasing and I burn now, no matter how much lotion I put on.

Still love being out in it though even though lying in it isn't my thing.

will do ,as long as I don't get a speeding ticket like last January on la Palma .... when he got married two years ago I went on the stag to Estonia ,a truly wild 3days !!!!!!

My younger brothers going to Estonia this May to speak at a few conderances for the MAV men against violence that he founded in preston, hes been asked to go over and go on local radio, just hope its better than when ne went on bbc radio lancs in november, he got a right grilling! However preston FM were brilliant with him. It orginates from canada called white ribbon fest, not sure if anybodys heard of it? He does walk a mile in her shoes to raise money for it, i swear my brother likes his pink stilletoes! Lol

Btw im 42 years this september!

Wind seems to be getting up again here although it could be a gentle breeze compared to what may be in store for us later in the week.

It shure shaping up to be the storm of the decade !!!..

I did read somewhere tonight that it could be a storm that the UK experiences once every 10-15 years!!
