Now that tuesdays snow has gone the way of the pear(according to fergies map in mod thread) its all eyes to thursdays storm, were in the sweet spot at the moment for the strongest winds....but im sure something will turn up to deny us even this.

Hopefully.

Lots of mixed messages about Tuesday with regard to snow prospects. BBC forecast just showed a trough feature over Scotland nudging into Cumbria - as opposed to other models showing a trough feature further south - at this time range it will be a case of nowcasting, position and track of any troughs very much conjecture right now.

Certainly a wild topsy turvy week ahead and very much a wintry one.

One thing is for sure, if anything exists capable of making the NW region miss out on forecast snow we will see it.

Didn't watch the forecast myself or the Countryfile one but reading recent comments on the various threads, it must have been less than inspiring, certainly for our part of the country and further south.

A very tricky 7 days coming up, certainly would not want to be

A forecaster, rain, snow, gales,

I would imagine the forecast could change at short notice

unlike my usa holiday in the summer couldn't get online in loads of places :(...

Better make sure it has UK satellite channels so you can keep up to date with the latest on the severe blizzards which will be sweeping across northern England during that week.

Whilst sat in the lovely warm sunshine with a beer or several to prevent dehydration.

As you said previously, you've probably more chance of seeing snow in Tenerife than here the way that anything remotely wintry is downgrading.

Enjoy it mate, we'll look after the torrential drizzle while your away.

just made up 53 myself, i must be the elder statesman in the North West thread.

Being old does have one advantage though, you can remember winters that had heavy snow in them.
