Snowing slightly still here on the hills of Oldham. What a shocker, waking up to a right good dumping! Easily 6 inches deep plus some drifting. That is more like it!

On a side note I've never seen flakes as big as I did this lunchtime, they were literally the size of my fist.

Can't pretend I'm not slightly gutted that I'm just that little bit too low, didn't really stick here otherwise I would have similar levels.

Sleeting here all day walked 15 mins up werneth low. Still snowing there but it's not high enough for it to make an impact. Snow still on the ground but some of it has definitely melted since yesterday.

Hope it lasts till tomorrow so my boys can go and have another play in it. Here's them today ...

Looking to be slight developments towards Derby way which should be heading towards the Peaks in the next few hours, GFS still had us for 10cm even into tomorrow with a max accumulation beginning from 9pm tonight. Perhaps the 'pulse' in precip now being seen might just be that starter.
