Did she look depressed at the prospect of people getting snow?

She was only on for a minute at the beginning, I think she's been sedated to cope with it.

Diane on the BBC doesn't think this will get as far north as Cumbria but for the rest of the region....Meto has me down for snow throughout the evening and night now.

What location are you using, the one for northwich is pants

There again those apps are very poor

Fairfield looks a great walk at the moment!

Yes  - a decent horseshoe roundy   - good lungbuster up to Nab Scar then Great Rigg - safer than Helvellyn in winter :(

This is Dunmail Raise (Sheffield Pike) off the A591 Keswick road - accessible and driveable if you need the White Stuff so badly after tonight.

Mmm what a messy picture, not sure the BBC have this one right - indeed Diane said don't expect the snow to fall where the models forecast it . Looking at the radar there is a sizeable chunk of precipitation over Irish Sea and to the north - it looks like it is heading this way, yet the bbc forecasts say nothing..

I would ignore the BBC forecasts and simply stick to looking out the window, very much a case of nowcasting this one..
