Not sure where -7C or -10C or whatever was quoted the previous night is going to come from. It's currently 3C with a stiff breeze off the sea. Not conducive to the hardest frost of the year.

The air feels much colder than earlier too, it's 2.7C right now, when earlier it was minus, and it felt much milder.

Hi BT,

I am located in Garston and we had a bit of wet snow/hail last night, freezing fog this morning then we had that rain moving in - gone a bit dark now.

Just asking what do you think the chances of us getting snow cover (at least a few cm) later this week? going by this event on Tuesday and Wednesday and later on in the week - do you think we could see something interesting?

Even if we don't do you think we could have more opportunities later in the week - and I sure we will if this stratospheric warming comes off.

Looking lively on the radar..... Hopefully some will get some snow showers tonight.... Breeze picking up... Making snow fall off bushes, hedges and trees...

Could potentially come my way in Garston too - have to keep a look out especially if the temperature drops be nice to get a bit of a surpise.

1.2c now, very cold wind blowing but it'll probably stop the temp falling.
