Sure it wasnt a snowbow? Saw two of them yesterday!

 

I don't think they're even possible?

White light (sunlight) must shine through water/transparency to create the spectrum. Snow isn't transparent, it couldn't have the same effect.

Temp has been steady at 0oC for a good few hours in Manchester with freezing fog, but latest obs at 11.20 is it has dropped to -1oC at 11.20! But typically,ppn is dying out... :fool::D

It's lightly snowing in Manchester right now! There is a tiny blob over my area as we speak so won't last long but a good sign if any further ppn can get here. Temp at -1oC

Another shower just passed through Nd we back to blue skies and sunshine. Loving the snow pics - well jealous !!

Just got above freezing here 0.3c the band is not far away now

 

Aye, I'm up to 0.0C now too. Effects of the sun in what is almost late January!

I think its evap cooling that does it.

Clouded over, -2c dew -3c everything frozen and crunchy.... Are snake or woodhead open?

 

Latest of Radio 5 live advised Woodhead is but snake still closed.

Below zero here (-0.5) but just had....RAIN!!  LOL....how can this be? The uppers must be -5C or something.
