Cant believe there wasn't a warning for snow here its been coming down since 7pm and still going light then heavy but causing lots of problems to public transport and roads not to mention what it will be like tomorrow.

yes someone asked earlier what the weather was like in the Blackpool/ Preston area under the blobs with the heavier echoes on radar, there was nothing, then light sleet/hail, I've read a few reports that people should be receiving ppn looking at the radar, and they had nothing.

Got a few flakes coming down now but nothing special. Yet I was under heavy precip..

Very wintry scene here now, steady falling snow...

Latest radar shows freezing rain/hail on coastal areas, although the snow line has crept a little further west and south, inland areas and especially higher routes have been mostly favoured.

Snowing here, not that it makes any difference. Unless it hammers down it wont stick

There is no way freezing rain is falling,, freezing rain falls when the upper air temp is around 0 or above but the air temps are lower levels is below freezing, going by some people's locations, its just a case of being too close to the coast, if the wind slackens off and goes off shore and you have precipitation falling then it might get interesting.

Yes. Greatest risk (of disruptive snow) NI and Scotland in MOGREPS too. That aside, UKMO lean towards broader snow risk essentially mid-Wales northwards. Some accumulations also likely S and E of here between Tues-Thurs. Anyway, all in line with previous assessment over past day or two, but devil still in detail. Confidence high now to mid-Tues but not thereafter.

From Fergie on MOD thread!

Surely that's us!!! Mid Wales north - can't fail, can it????
