Radar is adding more energy to the small clusters originating in the Irish sea so here's hoping more areas get to see falling snow (if that's what they want)... I have to travel to Manchester in next hour so I'm kind of wanting it to hold off until after Lunchtime lol

A disappointing start to the day after some overnight snow which resulted in a dusting and is now thawing as temps have risen to 2.6c.

Incase some of us don't see settling snow, well can you go through the excitement/anxiety all over again?

Woke up to a coating of hail here. No snow though.

It really could do with the wind to pick up and get the wind chill may help it turn to snow here.

We are underway, belting down!

Only light here, must be just catching the edge of it.

As per usual it's not cold enough. The infamous drip, drip outside.

Mmm was hoping to wake up to at least a light thin cover - diddly squat here all night, not sure what happened. Looking at the recent radar we should have had precipitation last hour or so, well whatever fell can't have been snow, probably just light sleet.. very disappointing.

Hoping for better fayre this evening and overnight.

Still the fells are coated in the stuff - will report later on snowline and general going about in this area - heading over to Sedbergh soon.
