130-215pm heavy hail then snow left 1-2cm enough to leave foot prints in.... Had to walk down hill in it.... Lovely.... Currently slushy deposits freezing up.... 0c dew -2c ..... Hills over past woodhead look covered..... Any hows steak night.... Fire roaring.... Lovely... Bring on the snow....

Just watched the SE ( National ) weather forecast on the news 24 and the main emphasis was on a possible sleet or snow event that may or may not effect that area on Sunday. It completely skirted around the wintry precipitation coming down from the North over our region.

Too and fro..... 12z looking good.... But will chop and change over the weekend.... Looking forward to tomorrows showers and tonights beeb/ met take on things.... Atm beeb forecast has snow here all day.... Hopefully lots of banding....

I saw earlier was pretty much on par with today's, now some

Areas are getting heavey snow nearly all day

Been out working in the woods at RSPB Dovestones today. Heavy snow showers on and off with some really big fluffy flakes, it was great being out in it. Nothing has settled below about 300/350m though, the top of holmfirth road looks quite white however!

Got the odd orange fluffy cloud lol but nothing from it, raintoday bits of cloud coming down from scotland.

Love it up there, here's a pic I took last year from chew reservoir higher up... if it snows heavy I might try and take a wintry trek at the weekend...

Once again the showers that passed through Manchester missed me.

Oh well

But I HAVE SNOW FORCAST ALL DAY TOMORROW!!!

Just like many, however I won't hold my breath. But it's ok cos I'll drive to glossop with my dogs to go and play in it there.

Woohoo. I'm happy for once.:)
