Just spoken to my parents who live in County Donegal, Ireland. They are snowed in and it is still falling. They on an orange warning for today and tomorrow. It cold and dry here but dark skies moving in from the River Mersey

The band is further north than I expected. It is reaching now a critical location - northeast Wales. If it doesn't break up there then Manchester has a chance.

I think you are ideally placed today. :-)

That's true. Albeit i'm expecting the life to be sucked out of it by the Welsh Mountains.

That's usually the case.

Trying my hardest not to get my hopes up. Fully expecting the Welsh mountains to eat all the precip so I won't be disappointed

The most intense part of it is further south so only light precipitation is likely for us.

I reckon those in the south of the region may get a surprise out of this, looks like the snow of 2 years ago where it came into the region from the SW and areas to the south of say Leyland did really well out of it from a snowy point of view.  Not as intense this time but looking similar IMO.
