Eerily quiet here.. Just a gentle breeze now and then.

Well in my area of Sheffield Southerly or South easterly forget any stormy winds too sheltered.

Horizontal sleet here, 25mph gust, pressure dropping fast, now down to 963mb and the storm warning is flashing on my weather station.

It's a bit windy on the South Coast but no where near where I expected it to be. Maybe the met office were right on this one

It's quite windy here in Exeter and the worst is meant to be just before 12 so maybe an hour or two after for you? I'm staying up til the squal line passes as that's when the strongest wind will be I skould imagine

Sounds awful outside and my aerial is making squeaking sounds again, hope it holds out for another wild night. Edinburgh had a gust of 51mph,bit elevated

Blowing an absolute hoolie at the moment, lots of noise down the chimney and rain banging against the window. Not looking forward to picking up my daughter in half an hour.

Adam, it's about 5-6 hours until peak for our region. Not suggesting big storm but it will be later when more noticeable.

Trip back from Cardiff wasn't too bad this evening. Car was swaying in the wind, but it sounds like it's getting worse outdid. Quite exposed here in Newton le Willows so we usually get the winds quite bad.

Still seems relatively calm here at the moment. A little bit breezy, nothing more.
