1.7C here, DP 2C. But then I suspect we got our (brief) snow enjoyment this morning. I hope some others in the region get to have a go! I'm extremely envious of the chap who was actually able to go sledging. Too little snow / too much mud here for any chance of that without a decent covering.

Just wondering about Luton. we seem to be on the cusp but we are 150m above sea level so I assume it will help! If the precipitation gets here.

Darren Bett just been on BBC and looks predominantly rain for most of us although some snow mixing in at times but would be surprised to see much settling tbh. Peak District looks like sweet spot with 4 inchs predicted there tonight and more tomorrow morning before it fizzles out. Tomorrow will just be a grey cold drizzly day I think. The only thing that does is keep the Jan average down. Weekend 7-9 degrees although he did mention it would only be mild "briefly".
