I am down in East London now for no chance of snow. Would like some on Monday please (my birthday) as it has never snowed for me on that day.

Colder here in London City near City airport

Temp 2 DP 1 East wind

Rained today haven't seen a proper flake since March 13 ....23 months and waiting😀😀

Indeed it is quite raw out there! 2.1C with a 0.6C dp not far off from snow territory... -1C dew point shown towards my east, (Southend) colder air is working through, it'll be interesting if we get any precip. Precip pending.. Edited by Daniel*

The blobs from the Channel seem to be getting destroyed when they hit land. Almost cold enough here now with temp at 1.3c and DP at 1c (my Oregon weather thingy only does round numbers for DP, but recently dropped from 2c). Just need it to get past the coast.

Snowed quite heavily here for about 20mins from about 7:45 this morning. Instantly settled on all surfaces and temp dropped from 1.8c (where it had been most of the night) to 1.1c in a few minutes.

Snow didn't last very long, was only a thin covering and melted once it eased off but at least it counts as my first laying snow since March 2013.

Temps maxed out at 3.3c today and have now dropped back to 1.7c.

Tonight

A lot of cloud and a few snow flurries cannot be ruled out. Otherwise mainly dry. In any clearer spells the temperatures will plummet and give a sharp frost. Fog could also be an issue.

nmmuk-0-19-0.png?21-18

Temperatures generally between 1C and -2C. But could get down to -5C in any prolonged clear periods.

Tomorrow

post-17424-0-21763000-1421871002_thumb.p

South - Light east/north easterly wind

North - variable winds

A cloudy start, this should improve through the day to bring sunny spells in most places.

Temperatures

nmmuk-0-26-0.png?21-18

3-5C

Overnight

Clear and cold, fog again could be an issue in places

Temperatures

nmmuk-0-44-0.png?21-18

Below freezing everywhere, again down to -5C in places.

Friday

post-17424-0-25443700-1421871003_thumb.p

Strengthening south westerly wind

A dry and sunny morning, cloud will increase later.

nmmuk-0-50-0.png?21-18

3-5C

An early ground frost is possible in the east, otherwise Friday night will be wet. A frost is possible by dawn as the front clears.

Saturday

post-17424-0-32930400-1421871004_thumb.p

Moderate north westerly wind

A chilly day, but mostly dry and sunny

Temperatures - 5-7C

Something developing east of Crawley headed for London, perhaps a snow shower possible?

-- Edit, only just realised temperature still isn't low enough! Just drizzle!

A new cold spell is already forming :shok: After a mild 5 days, the snow watching will return and this cold spell looks better for us than the plastic one we've just had.

Certainly starting to look like not only is the coming 'mild' and I use that term loosely as it isn't getting that warm, is just a blip and we may well get some more cold, possibly harder and more lasting.

I've seen flakes which has cheered me up immensely, I need to change my signature to say such when I'm on the laptop next!

I'd love a day or twos lying snow just to take my little girl to make a snow man!
