The snow has just about stopped now. A dusting on the rooftops, cars and grass. A decent result in the end to be honest.

I did get a couple of pictures on my phone so I will post them later.

Some snow this morning here in Hawkwell, Essex but very wet, still nice to see it falling!

Looking at the forecast there is seems to be some hope for us overnight into Friday morning with light snow from 2am - 6am on a NNW wind direction and temperatures around 0 degrees.....  Any thoughts on this?

First post so Hi everyone!

T.

I will probably start a new thread this afternoon, get the last of the snow out of the way before a clean slate so to speak.

Light sleet/snow again here now, edit moderate to heavy again now, interesting how these patchy clumps seem to pep up as they cross the Thames estuary.

Temperatures and dewpoints hovering between 0C and 1C so it is when the moderate to heavy bursts when the precipitation falls as snow.

wow still looks dry out side, and much colder than I thought it would be this morning, cloudy with temp of 1.1, dp -0.4, not bad considering kent where expecting the front to warm things up a tad.

Dull overcast nothing again in London...wasn't expected so not disappointed.

To be honest I don't want snow if it is all going to melt the next day anyhow!

ECM Day 10 chart is interesting....cough

Im the same. One of the reasons I love snow isn't only to watch it fall but a snow cover that lasts a few days. I especially like the period around dawn when it looks magical outside with snow cover.

East South Easterlies rarely deliver for the Coastal Parts of SE Essex due to the SST's in the Tepid Bath (Thames Estuary) and thats what occured here which is why there are hardly any reports from places within 5-6 miles of the Estuary/Coast. Just goes to show how much of a knife-edge situation it is for our part of the world, with Bas Vegas (6 miles to our West) and Chelmsford (10 miles to our North) reporting snow.

The 22 month wait continues for some parts of Essex!

Drizzly cold and yuk here, we really need those strong North Easterlies for this part of the world it seems.

Lol and then Southend reports snow as I was posting! Mad Mad Weather!
