Pity the ppn isn't going to come my way - my nearest weather station on Wunderground (which is around 4 miles due east of my location) is showing temperature at 0.7 Celcius and a DP of -2.

I think you will see some snow...that's all I'm saying I do not want to disappoint you.

I would not expect a deluge - and it might be transient, dusting possible even more eyes on the radar

Temp down to 1.2 degrees now. Don't think it is dropping fast enough here and will probably end up with rain/sleet again :wallbash:  :wallbash: .

I've known snow to settle at higher temps than that not sure on the other factors needed

Hope you are right.tbh still not sure if it will reach this far East anyway as it seems to be moving very erratically Westwards and will probably have broken up by the time it gets here. Still god signs for last couple of days of Jan and early Feb even if tonight turns into a non show.

Good Luck to everyone in the Region. Lets hope some of us at least get a good covering :yahoo:  :yahoo:

From the radar there is a line of wintry precipitation running SSE from Oxford down through Reading and Basingstoke at the moment, all of this heading east. London might just get some snow in the next couple of hours (not expecting much mind you).

Birmingham looks snowy at the moment (lucky gits)

Yes

Croydon is in the green and there is a 20% chance that you may get 1-3 cm's.... According to that amateur forecast :)

Don't set your expectations high though

i'm not, but 20% is better than nothing..

According to Netwx radar, I'm supposedly getting snow at the moment. No such luck in reality though

That's a common issue with snow events & rain tbh.... When events are in a close timeframe I like to look at the radar but then also look out the window....the window is the most accurate option obviously...... unless you live in a block of flats and someone is being naughty off the balcony above
