It stayed well below freezing here in Milton Keynes all morning, we had a heavy frost but no snow....on the plus side the local high school hasn't closed due to heavy snow which was predicted by the local radio station last week so Master D's education hasn't suffered at all ........

Not looking good people temp still on the rise here at 3.1C

I didn't think temp was much of an issue, especially as they will soon go down after sunset?

They  just gritted down the main road here, I'm just wondering why as it's raining, and I doubt it will change to snow any time soon. Are they expecting it to ice up?

A shame it's clouding over here in SE London and I guess all of us soon just as darkness will set in soon- could have done with a quick frost before the precipitation is due

Not sure the temperatures will matter much for those East of London, met office graphics don't look as if the precipitation will even make it

I think the far SE corner may get some clear skies overnight which could see the temps drop a few degrees. Dunno about you, but it's only 2.3c here now under dull skies.

If we get an eastwards shift of 20miles then we're in the game!!

Think everyone is hoping but don't think it is going to happen once the front gets close temp will rise to high for snow maybe a bit of sleet.

Bleeding cold out there but temp 2.5 Degree's on Epsom Downs and cloudy so no more full in temp.

GFS coming out now, looks like light snow north and east of London, just rain and sleet to the south and west of London.

This sums it up

12-574.GIF?20-12

Main action looks to be the Midlands into Yorkshire (Maybe the Peterborough area could be in with a shot of some accumulations)

GFS mainly in consensus with other thoughts at the moment.

Doesn't look likely, anywhere South and or East of say Waltham Abbey, looks to be out of the running at the mo

raining here atm,and i dont expect it to change, cant wait for this abysmal cold snap to end,fed up with seeing the word marginal,so roll on the weekend and slightly milder temps, then maybe all of us in the south-east will get what we crave,a decent cold snap with raw north-easterlies a shed load of snow, paving the way for the beast from the east to arrive on the siberian express, and more snow than you can shake a stick at

Certainly Winter 14/15 is heading for the South East swear filter, unless February can deliver

A cold and dry 2.5oC here, wonder what the evening/overnight period will hold for my area being on the NW edge of the region.
