Shouldn't have looked at the radar. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

Well that 1 minute of heavy snow was nice, then it turned to rain and ended 5 minutes later.

That said, we really shouldn't be getting snow on a convective south westerly anyway :p

Snow has fallen here (large flakes at one point) but nothing has laid, so my prediction is still valid.  Oddly, this, in itself, hasn't beaten last year - we did have a short flurry of wet snow back then.

Bright, sunny and just a few bits of thin patchy cloud here, would be a nice day out if not for the cold and that breeze, frost has all but gone now.

Those with any understanding of weather would know why people in upstate New York don't have to contend with same issues as those in Britain when it comes to getting snow and why it's completely pointless to compare.

Only the wind up merchants here seem to think the'd care and churn out same line on almost every occasion about how absurd we all are for loving even a flurry..

Time of day does not help! the below will satisfy many to the northern flank. Recent downgrades have been replaced with minor upgrades, with corrections west. Enhancing risk of snowfall.

Snow!

Yesterday BBC national forecast said: high chance that we would be under a easterly influence by late next week. Meanwhile pandemonium was sweeping the MOD thread as things all came crashing down. Next week looks very interesting. Sunday.. well here is the FAX. Occlusion hitting cold air...

It was pathetic, 2 mins of heavy snow here. But whats fascinating is that we have pockets of snow, pockets of sleet and pockets of rain dotted about in our area due to tiny differences in temperature and elevation. Just took recycling to the tip, heavy snow in dobbs weir but rain here !?!

Apparently something should be falling out the sky but there's nothing... hmmm.

Same here, just a bit of wet snizzle. Radar showed a clump over Bexley, but missed me some how, big hole in showery PPN to my South.

;-(((

Radar says yes

Reality says no

Not even any rain here

Enjoy your snow those folks that have it

I bet those people in up state New York, or even Turkey and Italy would be in hysterics over us and our excitement over a dusting .....

Yes they would, after spending some time in them places, it is quite funny that we get excited over 2 flakes.

Partial failure of Basildon snow shield about half an hour ago. Some sleet here.

The department in charge of the shield assure me that it will be restored to full working order ahead of tommorows event.

Why would it be funny. Those places are on a massive continent and don't have to contend with same issues we do. Completely and utterly pointless to compare.

But then again we here same old nonsense every year.

Yes they would, after spending some time in them places, it is quite funny that we get excited over 2 flakes.

Snowshield holds strong without a spec of snow or rain here with the sun starting to shine through.

Oh and massive flakes here in Sawbo. Lovely to see even if just for a few minutes.

we have actual snow here big white flakes settling on the ground, started about twenty minutes ago, not raw cold, just a bit chilly.

surreal scene in the supermarket, someone said it was snowing, everyone just stopped and turned to the window.at that point it needed a magnifying glass to see it coming down.
