We had, am i allowed to say 'a mini squall'  half hour ago.

GFS now showing next weeks severe gusts in my back yard, yaay

Yeah I got that squalline too that was the cold front moving through, got a few gusts over 50mph in that spell I'd say, all calm now and sun breaking out but temperature dropping.

It was just showing signs of getting brighter here then the cloud came, the wind increased and now we have blustery showers.

What have you got against trees?!   :help:

Not sure I'd expect to see a warning from the met office today for next week's possible storm, a lot of uncertainty over it still. I could be wrong of course but would think Sunday/Monday would be around the time they may push something out should still look as nasty.

Wednesday is within the warnings timeframe on meto now, wouldnt be surprised to see a yellow later today or tomorrow.

Obviously I dont wish for severe property damage or injuries but I would like to film trees having a bad day with my camcorder. woohoo

well  looking  at   models  and  maps  unless  there a  down grade  there is  very nasty   weather  heading  our way  next week!!!

Still tad windy out, does not seem as bad as this morning though and temps are falling, down to 8.1oC now, mainly clear skies means it is nice, dry and bright out for now.

Update:

Me shafts broken on my sex swing, bit limp. Needs a good rodding, and someone who's good with their hands.

Haven't done any DIY, but on me third beer.

Bogman, it's always important to take a step back or three and consider the nature of the DIY job at hand as projects addressed hastily can so often go wrong. Beers encourage one to think 'out of the box', before getting out of your tree. As far as persuading the missus of the wisdom of this, your mileage may vary...

I think it means the air at 1.5 km above us is now getting a lot colder.

Dew point has always confused me, i think its the temperature at which moisture turns to liquid.

Both of these and other elements are important for the risk of snow, they have to be at the right levels before it can snow.

I may be completely wrong though
