Bit of a downgrade on the GFS(P) compared to the 12z, still very windy though.

Well the overnight runs are more in agreement on the track and depth of tomorrows low with downgrades from those that were going for a more intense feature. It still looks very windy in the N&W with gusts around 50-60mph possible.

The UKMO doesn't take feel like a major Strom  and since Scotland is used to stormy weather more than England is is seems to be a typical day with a bit of strong windy bits thrown in it and of course much rain.

 

( I am only a newbie on models so bare with me on this )

 

 

The GEM looks a bit alive the UKMO bit does hit the isobars around that time a bit more close together giving a bit more strong winds for northern Ireland for a time.

 

 

The NAVGEM which i don't really need to say anything is just like the UKMO.

 

 

Overall Because of downgrades overnight just like Liam J said it will not be a major or intense low but a it will be windy day going from the models on their runs.

GFS 06z run has downgraded it a bit to be more in line with the UKMO and ECM,

 

 

Still looks very windy for all parts of the UK tomorrow with 55 to 65mph gusts over the Northern parts and 40 to 50mph in Southern parts.

Wind warnings have been issued by the Met Office covering a small area from N Wales to S Scotland.

I think the raIn might be more of a issue here. Does look very wet through the day

Some very unsettled weather on the way and although the storm has been downgraded over the days its still going to be a very wet and windy day across UK and Ireland.

 

Here's a summary,

 

Early morning see's the wind speeds increase over all parts of the country with top gusts of 60mph for Northern parts of Wales, Northern England and Western Ireland,

 

 

The rain during the early morning will also move in across the North West and will be heavy in some places,

 

 

During the afternoon the winds will start to ease in the West and move inland. Southern Scotland, Wales and Northern England see gusts ranging from 60 to 70mph.

 

 

Rain will be scattered across the West and North during the afternoon with the heaviest downpours over Northern England,

 

 

As we move into the evening and over night the winds will move South and affect England and Wales. Gusts for most parts will range from 40 to 50mph and in exposed locations 55 to 65mph. The strong winds will ease off during the early hours of Friday morning.

 

 

Heavy showers and downpours of rain develop during the evening and overnight for Scotland, Northern England and Wales,

Some late upgrades for todays low as it exits NE Scotland, GFS OP & control run both show this as do many of the ensembles. Perhaps warnings may be extended?

Not a lot to do say really just some rain and no wind at all.

The storm did get a last minute downgrade from the models the ECM to me handled it the best and never really showed anything. Still looking back through the last 24 hours a lot of weather stations across the country reported high gusts some 60 and others over 70mph which isn't too bad.
