It's frustrating really, watching this system for the last week or so, getting excited and receiving just rain from it. Weather can be so cruel.

Temperature has been around 3c here today until 4pm and last time I checked, it was 8.3c. Gutted! I know we aren't expecting anything here but 8c! It's depressing

Expect to see some gusts to 60mph in the Greater London area and south-east around 6am tomorrow with the low a little deeper than forecast.

Could be a squally morning with a mix of sleet and snow showers and gusts to 50/60mph

Heavy snow here for the last two hours. Mean depth 11cm at 1800, most of that fell in just over an hour.

Unsurprisingly just rain here with a temp of 2.8C and dewpoint of 2.0C.

Hate these marginal events with northern edge snow as they never deliver here with the onshore breeze, too much warming.

I can confirm as anticipated it is officially snowing here in South Kyme for the first time since Winter 2012/13 woop. Zac i told you it would not be long, the bonus is its huge flakes and settling.

The wrap around precipitation starting to intensify now with a distinct line of rain, sleet and snow clearly visible on the radar from Manchester down to Swansea. As this drifts SE and the colder air digs in expect this to be all snow come 00:00.

For those that haven't seen snow so far don't write this low pressure off just yet  :)

Matty M mentioned in an earlier post about the strong winds across the SE during the early hours. I completely agree with this and expect a warning by the MetO over the coming hours covering the SE and perhaps southern EA near the core of the low where the tightest isobars will be. Could be quite stormy out there for a few hours with minor tree/property damage.

Yes it's a developing area of low pressure, not one that hits the UK and disintegrates, so expect precipitation to be quite varied at times.

Temperature has dropped from 5C to 0.4C in south Manchester with wet snow. Just got back from Sister in laws in Eccles noticeably heavier and sticking. Raining in Trafford Park. If you can avoid the urban heat island elevation and intensity seems to be the major players.
