Is it just me or does it look insanely windy Friday/Saturday? Looks damaging!

Friday night into Saturday looks a tad breezy up your way.

What about down south? I live on the Isle of Wight now

Looking very breezy/windy, gusts of 30-40mph. Then Sat into Sunday, could be gales.

Are those over night wind speeds? What about Saturday through the say, got friends coming from portsmouth to Isle of Wight on the ferry, will they be affected?

Pray that this doesn't verify. Very unlikely as we are talking explosive cyclogenesis of 34mb in 18 hours!!!! Needs to be kept an eye on though as something may well be brewing deep down in the SW which could well lead to a possible storm  Very early days yet.

That nasty storm does seem to be consistently modelled by the three main models. It does look as though 'something' might happen, but as you say vlad, hopefully not as severe as currently shown.

Thanks Knocker indeed was just looking at another chart.  I hope for the East Coast this does not verify else its  :help:

Merry Xmas, New Year all :smiliz19:

Far too early to be concerned at the moment, the GFS, GFS(P) and ECM all have different scenarios, but certainly worth watching come next week.

Going to close this topic as the wind event it was created for happened last week. A new thread was made recently to discuss the next possible storm over Christmas https://forum.netweather.tv/topic/82050-possible-low-pressure-system-xmas-eve/
