Coincidence with Millhouse but I too am going for 4.3 degrees. The generally a bit above average first two thirds being cancelled out by a cold end.

How I see things panning out for December -

First week - average temperatures with some chilly nights.

Second week - perhaps a bit above average thanks namely to cloud and rain.

Third week - temperatures around average to begin but colder feed from the NW later.

After the 23rd - generally below average perhaps appreciably so.

2.5c

Change this please to 1.8c - Signs are there and building rapidly and I fear even after this change it maybe to high.... - sub zero period at the end of the month likely imo.

winter months are so difficult. 90% time I'm at least 2 degrees out. you can be 2 degrees out EVEN if you get the pattern change right. that 2010 sub zero December... I'm sure I predicted something like what I'm predicting now...

I'm going for the switch.

1.8C

5.7c. Feel this will be a frustrating winter with any cold being very brief but never really getting going. Recent charts have shown how you can have a disrupted PV and blocking but it can still be mild in the UK. Nearly 16c here in Falmouth on Saturday! Warm.

I've never changed from my first value and I'm not going to change from the 4c I guessed a week ago, week ago, but I'm imagining that I might be a touch on the high side with it.

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall.
